Tonight: EUSD Board of Education Regular Meeting at the Carolyn Gilbert Education Center, 2310 Aldergrove Avenue. 5:30 p.m. closed session / 7 p.m. open session. Zoom link https://zoom.us/j/551974247. Agenda: https://go.boarddocs.com/ca/escondido/Board.nsf/Public

We are devastated by the tragic death of Rodrigo, a beloved member of our Quantum Academy community. Everybody knew Rodrigo. He was a great friend and always stepped up as a leader. He was a really good athlete, and he loved sports, especially baseball.
Our district’s crisis intervention team was on campus today providing support, and counselors were available to meet with students, staff members, and parents individually and in groups. Our classroom teachers also made time to discuss this loss during their morning circles with students. Quantum is a close-knit school, and we are all grieving right now.

Congratulations to Quantum's 5th and 8th grade teams who both took home metals at the STEM Challenge Day Event! 8th placed 1st in math/science and 3rd in engineering and 5th placed 3rd in drones. Thank you EUSD for a fabulous event celebrating students and STEM!

What's eSports all about?
In EUSD, it's more than just gaming! Our eSports enrichment program is growing strong after making its debut in the fall as part of our Expanded Learning Opportunities Program. eSports has students exercising their critical thinking skills, engaging in career exploration, learning to collaborate, and more. Check out this excellent video to see how this program supports student success in EUSD!
