Are you interested in showing off your basketball skills? Enter the Elks Hoops Shoot Contest this Saturday.
It is that time of year again where the Elk’s Lodge is gearing up for our annual Hoop Shoot contest! This is a youth basketball free throw contest that has been going on annually for years!! The challenge is the best out of 25 free throws, and we need your help to make this event a success!
I will be creating a flyer to be sent through PeachJar but am informing your staff now so you can let the students know.
It is a free event for boys and girls from ages 8 - 13. The participants would have to be at least 8 years old by April 1, 2025 and no older than 13 years old by April 1, 2025 as the competition continues to the district, state and then nationally IF they win.
The age groups to participate are as follows:
Girls 8 - 9
Girls 10 - 11
Girls 12 - 13
Boys 8 - 9
Boys 10 - 11
Boys 12 - 13
The winner of each group gets a trophy and a chance to compete at the next level. State level and national level (In Chicago) would be all expenses paid trips by the Elks.
This event is on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Escondido Charter High School from 9AM-1PM. ECHS is located at- 1868 E. Valley Parkway, Escondido, California 92027.
No pre-registration is needed. Must show up at 9AM to sign up and compete.
