B-TV

WHAT IS B-TV?

Beginning in the fall of 2004, B-TV is one of only a few daily commercial-free, news broadcasts for middle schools in San Diego County. The 5-minute broadcast of daily news and announcements is geared toward middle school students, parents, and staff. Our news program is student-produced; from story ideas and research to production and to editing. This talented team of students collaboratively works on story ideas, interview questions, taping, editing, writing the anchors' scripts, and producing the show. When it comes down to show time they have put in many hours preparing everything. During the show, there are many different jobs that must be filled. Viewers only see a very small percentage of what is actually going on while on the air. What you don't see, are the students running cameras, editing, sound, and producing. It may look like the anchors are doing it all, but without the whole team, there wouldn't be much of a show. Students, parents, and teachers are encouraged to tune in to the show. Feedback is always welcome, and thanks for watching.
